Nearly 32000 pounds of breaded gluten-free chicken products have been recalled from Murry's Inc by the US Dept of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service owing to the risk of possible staphylococcus contamination.
12 ounce boxes of Bell & Evans Gluten Free Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets and 10.5 ounce boxes of Bell & Evans Gluten Free Breaded Chicken Breast having the best before date going as far as 9 th August 2015, which has been shipped nationwide is all set to be recalled.
The products that are expected to be recalled will have an establishment number P-516 inside its USDA inspection mark. The chicken is assumed to be contaminated with staphylococcus enterotoxin, which could possibly lead to food poisoning just within 30 minutes of its consumption.
Symptoms associated with the infection may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach cramps and pain. While there are no current reports of any such symptoms linked to the consumption of the chicken, following the contamination discovery by the Colorado Department of Agriculture, the products have been recalled.
