With the continuous number of people dying from Ebola virus and rising number of people getting infected, the Liberian President now asks for aid from the US President, Barrack Obama. Liberia was the worst hit Ebola country in West Africa and President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf said without the aid of the US, the country will lose the fight to Ebola.
The WHO said that the virus continuous to spread terror in the area and more than half of the infected are dying continuously. There have been a lot of organizations helping in Liberia like the Medical Charity MEdicins Sans Frontieres (MSF) but the it says it already reach its limit especially the treatment centers they have established in the infected area.
The Liberian President specifically requested for an Ebola treatment unit in Monrovia with US military teams that are expert and experienced in dealing with biological hazards. In response, the US government committed $100 million to the country in form of equipment, healthcare workers, food, water and medical supplies.
